When you have over 8 million subscribers and are ranked among the top 50 channels on YouTube, having your own dedicated app and not relying on the YouTube app to reach your viewers is a pretty good idea. That’s exactly what WatchMojo and Rooster Teeth have done with the release of their new Fire TV and Fire TV Stick apps. WatchMojo produces 4 or 5 new videos a day and is the king of Top 10 list videos like Top 10 Craziest Events Caught on Live TV and Top 10 Bruce Lee Moments. Rooster Teeth is most popular for their video game “Lets Play” videos, machinima, and live shorts. You’ll notice both apps are laid out in an identical fashion with a category list at the top and a horizontally scrolling list of videos below. That is because both apps are a product of Beachfront Media, a video distribution company that works with many big names in online video. These two are their first Fire TV apps, but you can probably expect more to be released soon.
