This is what the world is coming too. Cut the high $ tv services. Just wonder what antenna & internet speed is required to get this work best. May not work in the rural areas.

OTA DVR success depends on the antenna. Lots of them work pretty well if you find a the sweet spot for it and the weather is perfect, but often times it’s hair pulling time. I think this sounds like a good device and kind of wish I didn’t already own a Stream+. Now that the sales are over it’s a lot of money to switch.
I hear ya Charlie about hair pulling reception issues, main reason I keep entry level, basic cable as a backup. But how about this great interview!

It’s interviews like that that bring the cord cutting to the mainstream and I think having Amazon behind this device brings so much credibility that the trend will only accelerate.
Great job. I’ve turned the corner and I think I’m actually going to get a Recast now. Sadly, I’ve missed the sales. Anyone know of a sale now or coming soon?
Otherwise, I think I’ll just get the bundle on Amazon. At least you get a 4k Stick for $20 and an antenna for nothing. I don’t need either, but if I’m pulling the trigger on $230 I might as well to to $250 and get the extra stuff.
