This past week there were 36 new apps and games released for Amazon Fire TV devices. Endless Truck is a race game with a never ending track. The goal is to see how far you can get before running out of fuel. There were numerous international apps released this week. For German Fire TV owners, freenet Video has brought their library of over 1,000 films and TV shows to Fire TVs. A Canada specific SiriusXM for TV has arrived this week. New Fire TV apps of the week — Feb 3–9

This past week there were 29 new apps and games released for Amazon Fire TV devices. Marv The Miner 3 is an older side-scrolling platformer game that has recently gained Fire TV compatibility. It has over 30 levels across 3 different environments. The Olympic Channel has arrived on Fire TV devices this week. It’s a channel run by NBC Sports and the official Olympic Committee to try to maintain year-round interest in the Olympics. You’ll need a cable subscription to activate the app to unlock all content. NewsNet is a new 24/7 national news network that “focus on the headlines, not talk and opinion.” SplashTiles seems like an interesting new app that lets you create a screen full of customizable widgets that are arranged and displayed on your Fire TV device. New Fire TV apps of the week — Jan 20-26

This past week there were 54 new apps and games released for Amazon Fire TV devices. Entrepreneur is a new free game that looks to be a modern twist on the classic Monopoly board game. It features online multiplayer that lets you go head-to-head with friends or play against strangers. INSIGHT.TV UHD is a new streaming service that has arrived on the Fire TV platform. The service produces its own action sports, lifestyle, and adventure content in 4K. It’s available for free with ads or ad-free for $9.99 annually. Football (soccer) fans in the UK may be happy to see that Eleven Sports has brought their live stream and event coverage to Fire TV devices. Cyno TV has released several more channel apps this week, bringing their total to 26 apps on the Fire TV platform, and a set of new free ambiance apps, ranging from aquariums, to fireplaces, to storms, has been released. This week there were 59 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. Ping Pong DX is a new free Breakout/Arkanoid clone game you may want to kill a bit of time with, and Barren Lab is a new side scrolling platformer game that looks interesting. Vidgo is a new streaming service that focuses on Soccer and Spanish channels. They offer a 25 channel plan for $20 per month and a 35 channel plan for $30 per month. There is a 3 day free trial but they’re also running a promotion that gives you your first 3 months for $10 total. Hochanda is a new TV shopping app that is essentially like QVC/HSN, but for crafts. CynoTV is a new streaming media service that has released 14 of their channels this week as individual apps. They have a wide range of topics, from sports, to cooking, to finance, and more. This week there were 33 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. Mr. Worm is a free game that is similar to Snake, but more simplistic and forgiving for little kids to enjoy. Bumble TV is a new streaming service that offers “over 65+ networks” for $35 a month. It provides 50 hours of Cloud DVR space for free, but more interestingly, they claim that you can replay anything back that has aired in the last 7 days without needing to have recorded it yourself. Kidsongs & Nursery Rhymes is the new official app for the Kidsongs children’s music franchise that some of you who were kids, or had kids, in the 80’s and 90’s might remember from PBS or their VHS tapes. ArtHola TV is an art sharing platform that you can use to view thousands of pieces of art from their collection or share your own art digitally with family and friends. If you missed my earlier post about it, Sega has released a Sega Classics game bundle. For $14.99, you get 25 classic games to play in a single app. Warner Bros has released a DC Universe app this week, which is a new streaming service with original content to watch and comics to read. If you’re looking for more content to fill all the pixels on your 4K TV, take a look at the new 4K Nature Relax TV app which offers 4K HDR of nature scenes. A company called USP Studios has released several new kids content apps to add to their already large collection of kids apps.
