Fire TV 3 (pendant) is on clearance for $20.98 in Target stores

For those of you willing to venture out into the real world, Target stores have placed the Amazon Fire TV 3 (pendant) on clearance for $20.98. This is the lowest price that the 3rd-gen Fire TV has ever been and will likely be among the last deals you’ll see for this model, since it has been discontinued and replaced by the Fire TV Stick 4K in Amazon’s lineup. The Fire TV Stick 4K is a much better device and it’s worth spending the extra $14 over this clearance deal to get the Fire TV Stick 4K for $34.99 during Black Friday, however, compared to the regular 1080p Fire TV Stick, which will be $24.99 during Black Friday, this Fire TV 3 at $21 is a much better buy. You can try checking Target’s website for stock information in your area, but it’s not very accurate since it said my local Target didn’t have any but they actually did have a pair on the shelf. You might have better luck calling your local Target and asking them to check the stock of item number 00806023, instead of relying on the website stock information.

Google Chromecast on sale for $25 and Chromecast Ultra on sale for $49.99 at Target

Target wants go get a piece of the Prime Day buzz, so they’re putting a few things on sale as well this week. Most notable right now is the Chromecast Ultra which just went on sale for $49.99. One key advantage it has is that it is one of the very few devices that supports both Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos surround sound. I don’t keep track of Chromecast pricing as closely as I do Amazon devices, but I believe this is the lowest price the Ultra has ever been. If you don’t care about 4K or HDR, Target also has the regular Chromecast on sale for $25.00, which is $10 off the regular price. If you use a Target RED card, you’ll receive an extra 5% off of each of these prices. I’ll be posting all the best Prime Day deals as thy go live, so be sure to check back often during the next couple of days.

Target now sells the Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and other Amazon devices

target-logo-header

Target now sells the Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV Stick. The retailer stopped selling Amazon products four years ago due to a “conflict of interest” since the two companies compete directly in the retail space. A lot has changed in those four years and Target has now re-evaluated their stance, according to Bloomberg. In addition to Fire TV devices, Target now also sells Fire Tablets and Kindles.

The Amazon hardware is expected to show up in Target’s brick-and-mortar stores soon. This gives Amazon customers 1,800 new showrooms to check out the hardware in person. Target also runs great promotions, like 5% off of everything if you use their Redcard, so this should open up a new avanue for buying discounted Amazon hardware.
