Last month, HBO Max returned as a Prime Video Channel subscription. For the same $14.99/month price as subscribing through HBO directly, Prime members could once again bundle HBO Max with other streaming subscriptions with some small advantages. This week, HBO announced it will be increasing the regular subscription price to $15.99/month, effective immediately. However, if you managed to subscribe through the Prime Video Channel offering before the price increase was announced, you’ll be given a three-month grace period where you’ll continue to pay $14.99/month before the price increases to $15.99/month. Your first billing date after April 11th will be the first time you’re charged the increased price.
Amazon has announced that HBO Max is once again available as a Prime Video Channel. HBO notably removed the ability to subscribe to the streaming service through 3rd-party marketplaces like Prime Video Channels, Apple TV Channels, and the Roku Channel. The entertainment company is now backpedaling on that decision, starting with a return to Prime Video Channels. You can now subscribe to HBO Max for $14.99 with a 7-day free trial as a Prime Video Channel and, once again, enjoy the benefits that come with subscribing through Amazon.
Prime Video Channels have gained a new spanish-language option in the form of the new streaming service ViX+ from TelevisaUnivision. The service, which costs $6.99/month (MX$119/month in Mexico) and comes with a 7-day free trial, has a selection of movies, TV shows, Novelas, and more. It’s building out its offering of originals with three at launch and a promoise of over 70 original shows and movies this year. What may be worth the subscription price alone for sports fans is the over 7,000 hours of live soccer games available, including coverage of UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League matches. Like all Prime Video Channel subscriptions, you must be a Prime member to subscribe.
