Fire TV Sticks were the best selling product during Prime Day for the 2nd year in a row

Amazon has revealed that the 3rd-gen Fire TV Stick, which was on sale at its lowest price ever of $16.99, was “the best-selling product across all of Amazon worldwide” during Prime Day. The 3rd-gen Fire TV Stick took the crown as the best-selling product during Prime Day last year as well, when it beat out the Fire TV Stick 4K which was the best-selling product during Prime Day in 2021. Amazon says the first day of Prime Day “was the single largest sales day in company history” and that, overall, it was “the biggest Prime Day event ever.”

While there are many all-time low prices this year, there are certainly some that are much better deals than others. With Firestick prices as little as $2 apart and Fire TV Smart TV prices as little as $10 apart for what seem to be nearly identical devices, it’s sometimes hard to tell which deals to get and which ones to avoid. Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite is on sale for $14.99 for Prime Day, but you should spend the extra $2 and get the Fire TV Stick instead

The Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite is on sale for $14.99 for Prime Day, which is 50% off its regular price of $29.99. This matches the price it was during Black Friday last year but is $3 more than it was during Prime Day last year. If you’re thinking of buying this, you really should consider buying the Fire TV Stick instead, which is on sale for $16.99. For the extra $2 you get the exact same streaming device but it comes with a remote that includes TV power, volume, and mute controls. That convenience is well worth $2. If you’re determined to get the Fire TV Stick Lite, then you should know the Fire TV Stick Lite with the older remote, which doesn’t include app shortcut buttons, is still available for the same $14.99 price if you prefer the simpler remote. For $10 more, you can get the Fire TV Stick 4K Max on sale for $24.99, which is the most powerful Fire TV Stick and is among the best deals of Prime Day this year.

Amazon Fire TV Stick is on sale for $16.99 for Prime Day — Lowest Price Ever

The remaining set of Fire TV device deals for Prime Day have now gone live. The 3rd-gen Fire TV Stick is on sale for $16.99, which is 58% off its regular price of $39.99. This matches the lowest price that it has ever been. The main difference between this deal and the Fire TV Stick Lite, which is on sale for $2 less, is the included remote. The Fire TV Stick comes with a remote that includes TV power, volume, and mute buttons, which is well worth paying the extra $2. If you want to step up from this 1080p Fire TV Stick, I suggest getting the Fire TV Stick 4K Max for $24.99 and skipping the much older and slower Fire TV Stick 4K for $22.99.

Correction: 3rd-gen Fire TV Stick will be $16.99 during Prime Day, not $13.99

A couple of days ago I posted that the 3rd-gen Fire TV Stick would be $13.99 during Prime Day after receiving an email from Amazon’s PR company saying so. Amazon has since informed me that the email was wrong and that the Fire TV Stick will actually be $16.99 during Prime Day. That price would match the previous lowest price that the Fire TV Stick has ever been. Amazon says the Fire TV Stick sale will start on July 11th, the first day of the Prime Day Sale. I’m sorry for the mistake in the previous post.
