Get this Echo Dot Deal
Amazon is offering a 2-pack of 3rd-gen Echo Dots for $39.98 for Prime members. Just add two Echo Dots of any color and use promocode DOTPRIME2PK at checkout to get this deal. This is a Prime Day 2020 early bird deal, so it’s very unlikely these Echo Dots will be any less when Prime Day rolls around on October 13th and 14th. These Echo Dots were $22 each last Prime Day, so this sale is $4 less than a pair has ever been in the past. Amazon just announced new spherical 4th-gen Echo Dots, but it’s not expected that they’ll be on sale during Prime Day because they don’t ship until after Prime Day. I can’t recall Amazon ever putting a pre-order item on sale during Prime Day.
Get this Toshiba Fire TV Edition Deal
As an early bird Prime Day 2020 deal, the Toshiba 43in 1080p Fire TV Edition television is on sale for $179.99. That is the new lowest price that this 2020 model with the improved remote has ever been, beating the previous lowest price by $20. As I mentioned in my post about the Fire TV Recast sale, don’t expect this TV to be any lower when the main Prime Day sales event rolls around on October 13th and 14th, because Amazon typically doesn’t lower early bird Prime Day deals any further.
Get this Fire TV Recast Deal
Amazon has put the Fire TV Recast on sale for $129.99 as an early Prime Day 2020 deal for Prime members. This is the lowest price that the 500GB Recast with 2-tuners has ever been. Also on sale, as you’d expect, is the 1TB 4-tuner model for $179.99. That is also the lowest price the higher capacity Fire TV Recast has ever been. If you’ve been holding out for the best deal on a Fire TV Recast, here is your chance. Don’t expect this price to drop any lower on actual Prime Day, which is Oct. 13-14. Amazon never lowers an early bird deal even further when the main event rolls around. The Fire TV Recast allows you to watch over-the-air antenna channels for free through any Fire TV, Fire TV Edition television/soundbar, Echo Show, Fire Tablet, and mobile phone.
Amazon has announced that Prime Day will be October 13th and 14th this year. The big sales event, which typically occurs in July and runs an entire week, will run across those two days and feature “over one million deals” for Prime members, according to Amazon. In an effort to support small business, customers who spend $10 between now and October 12th with any of their curated list of small businesses will receive a $10 credit to spend during Prime Day. Amazon has also kicked off a few sales already and announced a few upcoming early deals. Read more ›
Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale usually takes place in July, but Amazon has now officially confirmed that the event will be postponed to later in the year. “This year we’ll be holding Prime Day later than usual, while ensuring the safety of our employees and supporting our customers and selling partners,” said a spokesperson for the company. Amazon said they will be having a discount event in India on August 6-7, but has not given a date for Prime Day in other regions. Prime Day is usually when we see the absolute lowest prices on Amazon devices. For reference, last year the Fire TV Stick was $14.99, the Fire TV Stick 4K was $24.99, and the Fire TV Cube (1st-gen) was $69.99 on Prime Day. I expect we’ll see those same prices for the Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K this year. The current Fire TV Cube, being an all-new model, likely won’t be reduced quite as much as the old model was last year, so I’m expecting it to be priced around $89.99.
