A new Nintendo Switch game console was announced this morning that swaps the 6.2-inch LCD screen on the existing model for a 7-inch OLED screen, among other upgrades. If you’re unaware, Nintendo Switch models are closely tied to Nividia Shield TV models because they are the two primary consumer devices that use Nvidia Tegra X1 processors. Amazon Video and other streaming services coming to Nintendo Switch

Easily the hottest tech gadget right now is the Nintendo Switch, the new video game console. While the console is receiving positive reviews, one criticism is its lack of any streaming video services. Since the console doubles as a portable device, it seems perfect for watching movies or TV shows on the go. Nintendo America’s chief operating officer, Reggie Fils-Aime, has thankfully told The Washington Post that Nintendo is “talking to a range of companies about other services, companies like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon” and that these services “will come in time” to the Nintendo Switch. So the console and portable gaming system should serve double duty as a streaming media player in the future.
