65″ Fire TV Omni Series Hands-Free TV on sale for $599.99 and other Smart TV Deals for Cyber Monday

Amazon held out on discounting one variant of its Fire TV smart TVs during the Black Friday weekend sale and, as I guessed, it has now gone on sale as a Cyber Monday exclusive deal. The model in question is the 65-inch Fire TV Omni Series Smart TV which is now on sale for $599.99. At $230 off its regular price of $829.99, this is by far the largest discount on any of the Amazon-built Fire TV Smart TVs. This TV features 4K Dolby Vision and hands-free mics, like a Fire TV Cube, so that you can control it by voice without needing to use the remote or an external Echo. For comparison, the similar 55″ Toshiba M550 Series Fire TV Smart TV which also has hands-free mics and just went on sale for Cyber Monday for the first time ever is priced at $649.99 despite being a smaller TV. This includes all of Amazon’s hardware which is mostly still matching Amazon’s own Black Friday prices. This means items like the Fire TV Stick 4K are only $29.74. If you have a Target REDcard, that takes an additional 5% off, making the Fire TV Stick 4K just $28.25. Amazon Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick were the two top selling items on Amazon.com this Black Friday / Cyber Monday

As Amazon always does after a big sale event, they’ve released some figures for their Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend. The Amazon Echo Dot, at $29.99, was the best-selling product on Amazon globally. Interestingly, it’s the only Amazon device that is still available at its sale price. The Amazon Fire TV Stick, at $24.99, was the second best-selling product. Amazon says that 2.7 times as many Fire TV Sticks were sold during this year’s sale than last year, when it was $29.99. Amazon continues to claim that the Fire TV is “the #1 streaming media player family in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Japan, across all retailers.” Oddly, since it wasn’t even on sale, the Amazon Echo Spot sold well and has sold out until next year. Amazon just now put the Fire 7 Tablet 3 Pack on sale for $79.97. These are the same tablets that are currently on sale for $29.99 each, but by purchasing this 3 Pack, you’ll save an extra $10. This matches the lowest price these tablets have ever been. Similarly, Amazon has the Fire HD 8 Tablet 3 pack on sale for $129.97, which is $20 less than buying them individualy for their sale price of $49.99.

The Nest Smart Thermostat is on sale for $169.15 as part of Amazon’s Cyber Monday deals. This is the new lowest price that this thermostat has ever been. I own this thermostat and have been very happy with it. You can control it with Alexa or through the mobile app. I’d probably buy the ecobee4 Smart Thermostat, which is still on sale for $199.00, if I were in the market for a new thermostat, but you can’t beat this price for the Nest.
