Best Buy’s Insignia releases new 2022 model budget Fire TV Smart TVs with 720p, 1080p, and 4K resolutions

Best Buy has released a new set of budget Fire TV Smart TVs under its Insignia house brand for 2022. These TVs include 720p and 1080p resolution F20 Series TVs and 4K resolution F30 Series TVs. So far the released sizes include 24, 32, 42, 65, and 70 inch TVs, but there’s evidence of additional sizes yet to be released. Google releases Chromecast HD as its 1080p streaming device for $29.99

As expected from numerous leaks, Google has released a non-4K version of its Chromecast streaming device. The Chromecast with Google TV HD, as it is officially called, provides what you’d expect from a budget streaming device with few surprises. At $29.99, the cheaper Chromecast competes directly with the Fire TV Stick Lite and Roku Express which cost the same. However, the Chromecast HD comes with the same remote as the 2020 Chromecast 4K, so you get TV power and volume controls on the remote, which the Fire TV and Roku do not offer at this price point. Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the 58-inch Hisense 58U6HF QLED 4K U6 Series Fire TV Smart TV at the expected price of $599.99 with a release date of September 15th. Hisense released its first Fire TV Smart TV back in May, the smaller 50-inch version of this same TV, and said a larger version would be coming soon. Amazon quietly swaps out the Fire TV’s Alexa Voice Remote with a new model

Amazon has released a new version of what it calls the “3rd-gen” Alexa Voice Remote. The new remote looks and functions identically to the one released in March 2021, which is likely why Amazon isn’t officially considering it a new remote, but this new remote actually has a new model number. Insignia releases its first 75-inch budget 4K Fire TV Smart TV

A new Insignia 75-inch F30 Series Fire TV Smart TV has just made an appearance on Best Buy’s website. The F30 Series of Insignia Fire TV Smart TVs were first released in the middle of 2021 with several sizes that topped off at 55 inches. Insignia later released 58-inch, 65-inch, and 70-inch Fire TV Smart TVs in the same line, but has now pushed the size even further with this new 75-inch TV.
