There are already several Windows PCs with Alexa built-in, but those numbers may soon increase significantly. Amazon has announced four new all-in-one and laptop PC designs with integrated Alexa for PC manufactures to use to speed up the path to launching Alexa-enabled PCs. Alexa on Windows PCs is picking up pace with a new All-In-One from HP

Amazon revealed a partnership with PC manufacturers at CES earlier this year where Alexa will be featured front and center on Windows 10 computers. The HP Pavilion Wave, which is a desktop PC that doubles as a hands-free Alexa speaker, has since been released. I got a quick hands-on with the Wave at CES and saw the potential of merging Alexa with computers. Alexa is coming to Windows 10 PCs from HP, Lenovo, Asus, and Acer


Amazon has teamed up with several PC manufactures to bring Alexa to Windows 10 later this year. Desktop and laptop PCs from HP, Lenovo, Asus, and Acer will work with a new Windows app that Amazon will in the Spring. Amazon in talks to bring Alexa to Windows PCs

Amazon is reportedly talking with manufacturers about integrating Alexa into Windows PCs, according to a report by CNET. An executive at Lenovo, the world’s largest PC maker, says they’ve held talks with Amazon about the possibility of using Alexa in their computers. No details were provided by the Lenovo executive, so it’s unclear if Alexa’s implementation on PCs would be a simple pre-installed application, or a more integrated addition with dedicated hardware, like microphones or buttons. With Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant already on Windows, and Apple’s Siri coming to Macs this fall, Amazon will need to partner with one or more PC manufacturer soon if they want Alexa to compete in the desktop/laptop PC space.
