Super Bowl 2021 will not stream in 4K or HDR

CBS has confirmed to The Verge that Super Bowl LV this year will not be available in 4K or in HDR, due to limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year’s broadcast by FOX was the first time the Super Bowl was available in 4K and HDR, however, that broadcast was actually shot at 1080p and upscaled to 4K. CBS says they’re focusing, instead, on making the stream reliable and low-latency. Super Bowl LV will be on February 7th.

With all the cameras I don’t think it’s even possible for them to do it in 4k this is what I’ve always heard not sure if it’s correct or not.

Just to clarify, the headline says it won’t stream in 4K, and then the posting itself says won’t “be available”, which implies that means “at all”.

So broadcast won’t be in 4K either?

I realize this is probably the case, just making sure before I count on viewing one way or the other.
