SPMC, the forked version of Kodi, has just been updated to version 16.7.3. The only change listed is an update to the TMDB scrapper that provides information to populate the app’s library. Anyone who has SPMC sideloaded on their Fire TV device should update to the new version, which can be most easily done by using my Downloader app and entering

I’ve kinda lost track of SPMC development. Has it moved to the v17 database yet? I’d like to try it but I’m sharing a mySQL database between kodi & MRMC so until spmc is compatible I’ll have to stay on the sidelines.
Love me some SPMC. It gets near daily use in my household. Paired with a networked hdd full of uncompressed bluray rips, its the perfect home media center. I made sure I contributed to koying early on.
I do definitely wish he’d get around to finishing up v17 , but that’s really just the upgrade bug in me. The only plugins I use are the movie and TV scrapers, and he’s keeping those functional, so I have to admit I’m not really missing anything that’s in 17. That’s just me though, I know others have different usages that would benefit from the upgrade.

Do not do this update. Everything is really slow now. Also, it messed up a lot of my poster artwork for tv shows and movies.
Hmm, that sucks. I haven’t experienced anything like that with my install, everything is working perfectly as before. I hope you find a solution.
Will SPMC be installed and supported in AFTV 1st gen “non-rooted and updated to the latest fire os”? If yes, what version of SPMC is recommended?
