Amazon has the Sideclick Universal Remote on sale for $16.99. This is a lightning deal that ends in a few hours, so be sure to get it immediately if you’re interested. These sales are rare and at just $2 more than the lowest price it has ever been in the past, this is a great deal. The Sideclick attaches to the side of any Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, or Fire TV Stick remote to provide a column of 8 programmable IR buttons. I’m a big fan of this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking to reduce the number of remotes they use. Everything you need to use the Sideclick with any Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, or Fire TV Stick remote is included in the box, so you don’t need to worry about buying the correct attachment. The only remotes that it does not work with are the Fire TV Edition television remotes. Even if you already have the new Alexa remote with power and volume buttons, the Sideclick can still be used to add even more functionality, since all 8 of its buttons can be programmed to replicate any functionality of your existing remotes.
Was just about to consider buying this when I came to the realization that it wouldn’t work well for me… something that most people would probably overlook, but being left handed this “sideclick” is on the wrong side of the remote. :\
Wouldn’t it be awesome if Amazon just made a good remote?
I just wish Amazon included “Remote Finding” capabilities…..That damn thing is so small and streamlined, my kids are able to easily bury in the deepest recesses of the couch. “Alexa, Find my Remote” would be the most awesome skill.
