Sideclick Remote for Fire TV and Fire TV Stick is on sale for $24.99 [Expired]

For those of you who missed the Best Buy deal last week, or those who prefer to buy from Amazon, the Sideclick remote is currently on sale for $24.99 on Amazon. That’s $5 off the regular price of $29.99 and the second lowest price this remote has been. I’ve been a big fan of the Sideclick, ever since their successful Kickstarter campaign, and you can read my review of the Sideclick if you’d like. The Sideclick remote essentially is a strip of programmable buttons that attach to the side of a Fire TV or Fire TV Stick remote to turn it into a universal remote. Attachments for all Fire TV remote versions are included in the box.

Just IMHO, the sideclick is a piece of junk. Oh, the remote works, but it adds a lot of width and flexes when you use it. I went with the add on remote from Mission Cable (on Amazon for $15), it works great and doesn’t feel as bulky.

I got used to the size quickly. The remote you mention is to limited. It only has half the buttons. What’s the point of that.

I bought three of these when they were on sale for $19.99 at Best Buy and I have to tell you that was the best price I’ve ever seen them at. The remote is very simple to setup using your existing devices infrared remotes and once configured works really well. The infrared light beam is very wide so you don’t have to be too fussy about pointing it exactly at your device in order to control it. Probably one of the best infrared remotes I have ever used. Thanks again to aftvnews for sharing this great deal.

I’m cheap, I used 2 rubber bands and latched my tv remote to the back of my fire tv remote, they don’t get lost and it cost me nothing… like I said I’m cheap.
Maybe I can start selling my “two rubber bands” on Amazon as a FTV remote accessary!

I picked one of these up last week when Best Buy had them for $19.99 and I wish I had bought two!

I put it on my bedroom Stick remote, which is the old original voiceless one. I had worried it might seem too bulky or awkward because that remote is so tiny, but it’s not! Since I mainly use that Stick late at night, it’s very nice to use one remote instead of three (one for TV, one for sound system, one for Stick).
