If you have a previous generation Fire HD 8 or Fire HD 10 tablet, the Show Mode Dock, which essentially turns those tablets into Echo Shows, has just gone on sale for the lowest price that it has ever been. The Show Mode Dock for Fire HD 8 is on sale for $27.99 and the Show Mode Dock for Fire HD 10 is on sale for $38.49. These are only compatible with the older 2018 8th-gen Fire HD 8, 2017 7th-gen Fire HD 8, and 2017 7th-gen Fire HD 10. These are NOT compatible with the current 2020 10th-gen Fire HD 8 and current 2019 9th-gen Fire HD 10. i am surprised they put in wireless charging in the new HD 8 plus but left out a 3 pin dock/keyboard connector / magnets
they should have already put a 3 pin dock connector on the their HD 8 and HD 10 tablets by now making the 2 piece show mode dock obsolete
show mode dock was a bad design from the start , it just adds bulk to the tablets and does not even really give you any added functionality
plus the prices are outrageous compared tot he tablets themselves
you could buy a fire 7 or almost and HD 8 on sale for the cost of a HD 10

it would have cost the almost nothing to add a 3 pin connector and then they could see a keyboard folio cover for the HD 8 and HD 10
*sell you a keyboard folio cover
