Here is a roundup of all the best Unlocked Phone deals currently live for Prime members. Some of these are Prime Exclusive phones, while others are just regular unlocked phones. Standouts include the Moto X4 w/ hands-free Alexa for $199.99, which normally sells for $279.99, and the Essential Phone for $249.99, which normally sells for $499.99. There’s also a pair of wild bundles that include either a Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus and come with a free Echo, Echo Spot, and Samsung Smart Home Monitoring Kit.
Ugh. I really was hoping the Moto G6 would be on sale. There are not many phones that work on all four carriers
Me too. They did put the Moto g6 with an extra gig of ram on sale for $259. It only comes in dark blue. I’m considering it. Any chance regular Moto g6 goes on sale tomorrow. Also if it weren’t for so much uncertainty about the company, that essential phone for $250 os a great deal.
I saw the Essential phone and was/am very tempted by that. My two concerns are future updates, and don’t laugh, the weight. haha
I didn’t even know they had a 4gb/64gb variant. For $260, maybe worth it. Guess I have to decide between than and the Essential Phone.
I think it’s a new thing for prime day and exclusive to Amazon.
I am completely torn on picking between the Essential and the beefed up Moto G6. Obviously the Essential offers better hardware. I was worried about support, but honestly Moto has not been all that great lately, so it could be a wash. Essential already has a newer version of Android.
My concern is the rumors that the company is folding. They’ve already canceled their 2nd gen model. They claim 2 years of updates and 3 years of security updates. I believe we are 1 year into that already. So even if they don’t fold we’re looking at 1 more year of updates and 2 years of security updates.
I never really keep my phones longer than a year or maybe 18 months. I have my doubts the Motos will still be getting updates in 1.5 years. I can’t remember the last update my G5 Plus got.
This feels like the experience I had with Amazon’s Fire phone. They put it on sale for $59 plus a year of prime. That was a no-brainer so I bought it. Good specs and hardware, but failed implementation and overpriced at launch. Folded up the phone shortly after that and it was gone.
I would have been all over the Fire Phone if it had the regular play store.
It looks like either the link above is bad, or the stated Prime deal is no longer valid for the ASUS Zenfone Max 4 at $129. When I click it, it shows me a phone page that only lists 3rd party sellers at other prices and nothing direct from Amazon at the stated sale price.
