Just a quick reminder that HBO is being dropped from Prime Video Channels today. If you haven’t heard yet, HBO wants all subscriptions to be made directly, so they’ve pulled themselves from “channel” listings, like the ones run by Amazon, Roku, and Apple. If you’re a subscriber through Prime Video Channels, you should be receiving a credit for the remained of your current billing month. There is no way to transfer your account from Prime Video Channels to HBO directly, so you’ll simply have to subscribe through HBO like a new customer.

Presumably, not all customers who subscribe through amazon, roku and apple will sign up directly with HBO and may seek another premium service that is integrated into the channel listings. HBO is firing customers. This seems like a career limiting decision for the executives, if they miss their projected financial numbers.
