Refurbished 2nd-gen Fire TV Cube has dropped to just $44.99 — New Lowest Price Ever

If the new 3rd-gen Fire TV Cube is out of your budget and/or you don’t qualify for the current $40 discount available to select customers, now is a great time to pick up the older model at a discount. Woot is now selling the Amazon certified refurbished 2nd-gen Fire TV Cube for $44.99 with free shipping for Prime members. This is $5 lower than a refurbished Cube has ever been in the past and $15 lower than a new 2nd-gen Cube has ever been. Needless to say, the 2nd-gen Fire TV Cube is still a fantastic device that outperforms every Fire TV model, except the new 3rd-gen Cube, by a wide margin. One thing to note is that this particular Cube from Woot will come with the slightly older Alexa Voice Remote that does not have app shortcut buttons along the bottom or a guide button, but it still has TV power, volume, and mute controls on the remote. If it being refurbished is a concern, I’ll just add that I’ve personally purchased several refurbished Fire TV models over the years, including the 2nd-gen Fire TV Cube, and have never had an issue with the device or regretted the purchase.

This has been this price for a week now on woot. I dropped that in a comment last week on another one of your articles hoping you’d pick up on it. Wasn’t sure if you’d post woot deals or not. I ordered one on the 22nd and it was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it was sent back as “undeliverable” when it made it a few towns away from my address. I called and they are sending a replacement. I also ordered a second one on the 28th to my parents address and it should arrive on the 3rd. I’ve got 8 gen 2 sticks, a gen 2 box, a 4k stick and a 4k max stick and a 2019 Shield TV pro. These will be my first go around with cubes. Really looking forward to it.

I ordered a refurbished second gen cube a couple months ago and they sent me the wrong power adapter. They sent another cube and I had to send the other one back. The cube is definitely worth it because of the extra storage and faster processor.

So I received both of the two I ordered. I’m happy to report they both came with old firmware and I was able to block updates and use Launcher Manager to set a customer launcher. They were both in mint condition. Not a smudge on them. They appear brand new.
