Refurb 3rd-gen Fire TV Cube (latest model) is on sale for just $79.99

Woot currently has the refurbished 3rd-gen Fire TV Cube on sale for $79.99 with free shipping for Prime members. This is $15 lower than the lowest Amazon has sold it for in the past, but it has been lower than this on Woot. While Prime Day is just around the corner, the Fire TV Cube will not be this low. The lowest the Fire TV Cube has ever been is $109.99, so that is likely the price we’ll see during Prime Day. At best it might drop down to $99.99, so you would still be saving $20 with this deal if you don’t mind getting a refurbished device. This latest Fire TV Cube is loaded with WiFi 6E, an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a full-sized USB-A port for NTFS/FAT32 external storage, an HDMI-IN port, hands-free control, IR blasters to control your home theater, and much more. Also available from Woot is the 1st-gen Fire TV Stick 4K for $16.99, the Fire TV Pro Remote for $21.99, and the Fire TV Soundbar for $69.99. All of these sales end on July 5th. Update: This post used to state that this was the new lowest price for a refurbished Fire TV Cube, but, as Jake in the comments points out, it has been $75.99 in the past with an extra discount available on Woot.

  1. GREG Behrendt says:

I tried to order the refurbished CUBE and was not able to because my AMAZON and WOOT account would not link…I did not know I HAD a WOOT account

  2. Fred says:

Should be free like every other Amazon device, they are just sales tools. They don’t want me to use rechargeable batteries(so they can sell me new ones), I would get constant pop ups on my TV. The only way to stop it is turn off notifications on the the fire tv. Well that didn’t work. Now,I get emails telling my remote batteries are low and gives me like to buy new ones. My fire tv is going in the garage, this is ridiculous.

    • Greg says:

I use rechargeable batteries in my remote without problema, what are you talking about?

      • Dan G says:

I had the same problem using rechargeable NiMH AAAs because they start at 1.2v and quickly start dropping and the remote expects alkalines that start at 1.5v and gradually drop.

    • Dan G says:

USB rechargeable lithium batteries maintain 1.5v until empty, avoiding those warnings altogether, but without the warning you’ll want to keep another pair of batteries nearby. I’m using Pownergy AAAs with the Voice Remote Pro.

      • Fred says:

I’m using NiMH rechargeable, which I got a 12 of Amazon Basics. I understand the voltage difference, but that should not have been a factor when designing this device. No way I buying new batteries, just for this. On top of that emailing me that my batteries are low is a scum thing to do.

  3. Dan G says:

Cube v4 hasn’t yet been seen on any leaked roadmaps?

  4. Bryan Hill says:

Anybody know of this is returnable or just a warranty?
