Razer says they’re not stepping away from Android Gaming or their Forge TV

Earlier this week, the removal of the Forge TV, one of three players in the Android TV set top box market, from the Google Store lead myself and several other tech outlets to wonder if Razer was giving up on the device and Android TV. Razer has told Engadget that’s not the case, and that they’re “doubling-down” on the Forge TV and Android TV gaming. They say they’ve been working on integrating content from their acquisition of OUYA and are “working to ramp-up production to address the present demand” for the Forge TV. Saying there’s “demand” for the Forge TV might be a bit of a stretch, considering the device’s poor reviews and lack of essential apps like Netflix, but it’s good to see the choice of Android based set top boxes isn’t shrinking just yet.
