Is there a limit?
Limit of one $5 credit per Amazon account. Not sure how that applies to accounts under the same household sharing a single Prime subscription.

Interesting. Hopefully you actually get the $5 credit twice. Worse case is you just tie up $25 for a bit until you spend it, so no big loss if you only get a single $5 credit.
Can a gift card balance be used to pay for Prime membership?
No, you can’t pay your Prime membership fee with a gift card. However, there is a loophole where you can use a gift card to purchase a Gift of Prime for someone. If you send yourself a gift of prime, your existing membership will need to expire in order to redeem the Prime membership gift. Otherwise, it will just apply the price of the membership as a credit to your Amazon account.

You’re right! Board up your windows, hide your kids, and for Pete’s sake if you have to buy anything off of Amazon make sure you do it in persone, it’s edible, and doesn’t perish for at least 15 years. 15 should be long enough to hold off the inevitable attack drones, and their backup batteries. If Skynet is active, as everyone assumes it already is, then you might want something that will last 20+ years.
