The deal is for new subscribers only, so if you’ve already tried the service, you won’t be able to take advantage of this deal. After the 4 months, the subscription will continue at the regular price, but you can cancel before that happens if you don’t want to pay more than the initial $0.99. Amazon Music Unlimited offers access to nearly 30 million songs from all of your devices. For comparison, Prime Music grants access to around 2 million songs. This offer is for Prime members only.

Hi, Can I subscribe to the program and tomorrow cancel mi subscription and still have the 4 months?
I don’t know, but it is likely. I know when you subscribe to an Amazon Channel, for example, you can cancel immediately and still have access to the channel for the duration of the free trial or the rest of your paid subscription. I assume Amazon Music Unlimited is the same way, but I have no way of testing it since I’m not a new subscriber.
If you try it, please report back what happens.

Do you know if Amazon Music Unlimited limits the number of tracks you can download at any one time? Spotify Premium limits you to 3,333 tracks per device with a limit of 3 devices, for a total of 9,999 tracks per account that can be downloaded at any particular time.

I’ve been a happy Spotify Premium (SP) subscriber for about 3 years. Since Amazon’s Music Unlimited (AMU) introduction, I’ve been on the fence about trying out the service with their normal 30-day free trial. Their current 4-month subscription for $0.99 got me off the fence. I’ve been exploring for about a day and here are some of my immediate observations of things I can’t do with AMU that I can with SP:
1. Enable gapless playback of albums and playlists. Some albums were just meant to be played gapless.
2. Scrobble my played tracks to my last.fm account
3. Order the playlists I’ve created into folders and subfolders for easy searching. I’ve created several hundred playlists on SP and have them organized 3 levels deep (folder, subfolder, playlist).
I’ve yet to discover anything compelling that I can do with AMU that I can’t do with SP.
The music libraries of SP and AMU are probably very similar.
The playback audio quality of SP and AMU sound the same to my non-audiophile ears.
So far, I don’t see or hear any compelling reason to continue my AMU subscription after 4 months. Can anyone convince me otherwise?
If anyone knows of a way for me to do any of the three things I’ve mentioned above, I’d really appreciate a heads-up on how to do it.
