Amazon is running a new promotion that gives Prime members 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for $1.99 total. At a regular price of $9.99 per month, this deal saves you $27.98. Kindle Unlimited is the all-you-can-read service that gives you access to over 1 million books. Also included is a selection of popular magazines and thousands of books with Audible narration. You can access the content through a Kindle e-reader, a Fire tablet, or any mobile device using the Kindle app. This promotion is only for new Kindle Unlimited subscribers.
Nice offer. Thanks for the heads up. Suppose I have 10 books in my KU library when I cancel my subscription at the end of the 3 months. Do you know if I’ll be able to keep those 10 books, or will they disappear when I cancel?
I’m not seeing this available on my Prime Account, despite never having Kindle Unlimited. Any idea why ?
Forget that, the tab is showing now !
Very nice offer. I too would like to know what happens to unread books at the end of 3 months.
@pmcd, as with any subscription service, if you don’t continue subscribing after the promo period then you lose access to the content. In my experience with the Kindle Unlimited service, the only way to maintain access to content once you’ve unsubscribed is to download the the books you’re interested in and port them to a device that is not connected to the internet, like a Kindle reader with internet/whispersync disabled. Otherwise as stated above, your access to the content will be cut off once your subscription ends.
@Big John, you can’t keep the books, because you’re not buying them. You’re just renting access to them. See above regarding access after subscription is cancelled.
