Amazon tends to trickle out discounts on their certified refurbished devices during the days that lead up to Prime Day and this year is no exception. Several refurbished Amazon devices have just received heavy discounts that are exclusive to Prime members. These prices are almost certainly as low as you’re going to see for these devices, so don’t expect the new versions to be this low when Prime Day arrives. The refurbished Fire HD 8 tablet has dropped to $39.99. This is the new lowest price that this tablet has ever been. The lowest a new Fire HD 8 has ever been is $49.99, so that’s a pretty likely price to expect to see come Monday. The refurbished larger Fire HD 10 tablet is available for $89.99. The lowest price its new version has been is $99.99, which is a price we may see again during Prime Day. These are refurbished version of the latest models, so they both can replicate Echo Shows thanks to the new Show Mode that was just announced. They are also compatible with the new Show Mode Dock. If you prefer the dedicated device, the refurbished Echo Show is now just $109.99. For comparison, the new Echo Show is already on sale for Prime Day at $129.99. Lastly, the refurbished Kindle Paperwhite is on sale for $69.99. The lowest price a new Paperwhite has ever been is $89.99, which is probably as low as you should expect it to be for Prime Day.
The Lowest Price that this tablet was for sale was $85 for a NEW, not Refurb at Target last year! This is NO deal!
I’ve addressed you before. See here: http://www.aftvnews.com/get-a-free-amazon-echo-dot-when-you-buy-a-fire-hd-10-tablet/#comment-777058
The app is advertising the tablet refurbs in the UK, too, but I’m not convinced that a discount of £10 from the price of a new HD 8 is all that great of a deal.
39.99 for the HD8 is such a great deal I’m tempted, though I don’t know what I would do with it. :)
I’m thinking about getting one for the bathroom, for when my magazine subscriptions run out. :-)
If you’ve got the Harmony Smart Control and Hub, you know the remote is awful, especially if things get out of sync. If you’re like me and don’t want your phone around while trying to vegetate, the 7 and 8 make great dedicated touchscreen remotes. You do have to install Google Play Store before you can DL the Harmony app, however.
I have one I keep in the car for when I am just waiting to pick someone up or letting my wife spend as much time as she wants in the store I don’t want to go into.
I bought two of the HD8’s. We have several of the 7’s already (kids use them for video watching), but the chance to get an 8 for cheaper than a 7 was too much to pass up. Better screen and battery should be nice. I have a 10 that I LOVE.
Well, that was quick. The price is back up to 65.00 for the refurb. That makes my impulse disappear.
Thank you Amazon for saving me about 45.00 :)
When I look now as an Amazon Prime member, I see the big banner ad advertising a 16 GB version of the Fire 8 tablet for $39.99. But when I click that ad, it takes me to a $64.99 Fire 8 tablet that is the 32 GB version, not the 16 GB version.
Have they sold out already of the $39.99 Fire 8 16 GB tablets? I can’t find a working listing for the refurb 16 GB version anywhere, despite seeing lots of banner ads for them on the Amazon site.
Out of stock until 7/18.
