A pre-rooted version of the new 51.1.6.0 Fire TV software update has been released by rbox. As always, this update is identical to the stock release from Amazon, but allows you to update without losing root. Go download it from the ROM page and install it on your rooted Amazon Fire TV to update to the latest and greatest version without losing root.
If you’re new to Fire TV rooting, check out my starters guide to learn how to use this custom ROM. This ROM will not help you root a Fire TV, since your Fire TV must already be rooted to install it.

Anyone no what the benefit is going to this ROM over the previous one? I didn’t see anything on rbox’s XDA-Developer’s post about a changelog. I’m not having any problems with the ROM prior to this so I’m apprehensive to flash a new ROM if there aren’t any added features.

i do not see the shop choice on this version 51.1.60
The shop seems to be in this update, but it has not been enabled by Amazon yet.
So I I’ll upgrade to this one from my old old rooted sw but without dual boot I’ll be able to get updates without loosing root?
