What is the ideal wifi settings for Fire TV. Router specific. I know with the firetvstick that 5ghz on channel 36 is ideal. Should I be using the same settings for the fire TV? Been having buffering issues with HBO Go. Only that app. Netflix and KODI work fine. Just trying to troubleshoot the problem.
Also does wifi mimo work across every channel for the fire tv?

2 questions
1. Rating Apps: To my knowledge, there is not a way to rate an app directly on the FTV. This could benefit developers and users. Do you see Amazon adding this in the near future?
2. The FTVS 2? The Fire TV is still a very capable box. There are very few apps that take advantage of the power of the current fire tv. Outside of 4k I see very little reason to purchase a more powerful box. Amazon seems to not embrace the gaming side of the FireTV platform. What would be the advantage of releasing a platform with more horsepower?
My Fire TV died a week ago…should I buy a new one at my local store or wait to see if Amazon releases a new one? What do you think the time table will be on a new Fire TV/Fire TV Stick being released? Thank you.
If you bought it from Amazon, return it to Amazon and get a new/refurbished one.
What is the possibility of seeing a device from Amazon similar to the MOHU Channel? A device that can attach to an antenna.
the first days after the FireTV was released here in Germany, as a Prime subscriber i was able to buy the device for 49 EUR (99 EUR normal price, = 50% off)

It seems HBO now is not available in Belgium if I search for it on the fire TV. I guess it is the same everywhere outside of US. I am using HBO now already on my apple TV with smart DNS and would like use it on my fire TV as well. Is there a way to get the fire TV HBO NOW app outside of US on my device (without using US VPN)? Also I would like to give Pluto TV a try but can’t find it either.
Is it correct that the HBO NOW fire TV APP doesn’t support surround sound? I read it somewhere but don’t know if it’s true. Would be really poor if it is true.

Amazon only sells the TV boxes in countries where they offer Amazon Prime video (which makes sense). Do you think they will follow in Netflix footsteps in terms of international expansion (together with their device sales)? Do you have any idea/thoughts on the timing for other European countries for example?

Amazon has released a New “Underground” APP to fully replace their original APP-Store APP, and Unfortunately is not offering the Daily Free APP on their Amazon-APP-Store anymore!
However you can not directly install this new “Underground” APP on the FireTV!!
I really do not understand how all the “Amazon Prime” users are now going to download, on their FireTV, the offers or Free APPs from this New Amazon-APP-Store?
I really think that now we are stuck, because we can not install this new “Amazon Underground” APP, and neither can we receive the usual daily Free APP!!!
What’s going on… Is the New “Amazon Underground” APP only compatible with all other brands Android devices and not with their own Amazon FireTV?
Curiously the New Underground APP is also NOT compatible with the Amazon Fire Phone!

The latest firmware upgrade caused my working fire tv stick to have stutter issues on Netflix and YouTube, I contacted Amazon last night via chat and it was obvious they knew of the problem and are sending me a replacement unit that they guarantee will work correctly. So did they have a bad batch of hardware? The stick I bought for my in laws a month after mine does not have the problem…
Got the new stick loaded it with all the same content and no stutter on either netflix or youtube. So it was indeed something with my original stick.

Is anyone else having problems with freeze ups on the fire TV playing MLB or Sling? Both have become almost watchable for me. Mlb plays fine on Apple TV and sling is much better on iPad air played to Apple TV as well. Internet connection test fine on freeze ups at about 20 mb down.
