Any apps that will run one app then another that works on AFTV2. With AFTV1 I used LLAMA.

I recently downloaded the HGTV, Food Network, and Travel Channel apps. If you’ve tried any of these how is the quality of the video? Live Video stutters really bad as if I have a bad connection – on demand video is worse. Other apps work fine from different companies like History and A&E.
Just curious if it’s any issue with my box or connection or just poor quality apps from the network. I’m thinking (and hoping) it’s the latter. But if so, that they fix these apps.
With the upcoming release of 5.0.4 you have made the recommendation that users who wish to root/are rooted should block all future updates.
What is the likelihood we will see a rooting method for those who wish to upgrade to the newest firmware? Has there been any progress from those at XDA on this yet?
What is the best and easiest way to download APK files at the Google Play Store onto an Apple iMac Computer for future side loading to the 2nd Generation Fire TV? (The drop down box for APK apps at the Google Play Store does not include other than Android devices for the purpose of downloading and installing.)
Hi Elias, I hope this time of the year is a happy one for you and your family.
Today I’m taking delivery of a Vizio m70-c3 that supports 4k (whoo-hoo!) So now I’m trying to get up to speed on Hz’s, HDCP’s, and HDMI’s, things I previously didn’t have to worry much about with my old 1080P Panasonic plasma.
The m70 has five HDMI inputs, three that are HDCP 2.2.
Of those three, two are HDMI 1.4b and support 4k at 30Hz.
The third is HDMI 2.0 and supports 4k at 60Hz.
I don’t see a downside to to just using the third, but as I understand the Fire TV, the other two would work just as well since the Fire TV maxes out 4k at 30Hz.
Is that correct? Is there ANY difference between the three as far as the Fire TV is concerned?

And then with HDCP 2.2, what if I have audio over TOSLINK coming out of the TV, do I still get 4k?
My firetv2 and my LG SMART TV turns on when I press the home button on the ftv remote but when i put ftv to sleep using the ftv remote only the ftv goes to sleep. Any ideas why this wont turn off my tv. My apple tv 4 seems to turn on/off both devices flawlessly.
Also, for those of you guys who are wondering why the hell does he have two streaming devices, well first I got the 64gb version for $160, 2nd i use the device to airplay and connect to my itunes to play music and 3rd waiting patiently for a jailbreak.

Hopefully we will have the update to Fire OS 5 soon in January for the AFTV1. I can’t wait to play with Alexa and control my Wemo devices with voice.
But I can only speak to my AFTV remote or the AFTV remote app on my phone, correct? And my AFTV has to be on in order to work, correct? It cannot work only on my phone, right?
Do you think Alexa will come to Amazon tablets too? Or is it already there?
What do you think of the amazon tablets? Of course they are no ipads but if you just use for surfing, email and video playback what do you think?

Recently install ESfile Explorer and the edges are cut off. The Disney Junior app does this too. How do you adjust the app to fit the screen?
Is they a DNS changer app that works on a wired connection for AFTV1 and or AFTV2?
Since latest update Fire TV 2 lost ability
to play Prime music and is no longer listed
under music. Any one else having this problem?

How can we spoof, fire TV boxes serial number, now we have root access.
Reason being, when you purchase a new fire TV box you get one free month of Amazon prime.
so technically speaking if we change the serial number we get a new month.
And if this works, it could be repeated every month or possibly written up in an app to do it automatically.

but I can’t type in Korean and I even can’t search on the searching side like google in Korean.
