New Fire TV apps of the week — Feb 3–9

This past week there were 29 new apps and games released for Amazon Fire TV devices. Marv The Miner 3 is an older side-scrolling platformer game that has recently gained Fire TV compatibility. It has over 30 levels across 3 different environments. The Olympic Channel has arrived on Fire TV devices this week. It's a channel run by NBC Sports and the official Olympic Committee to try to maintain year-round interest in the Olympics. You'll need a cable subscription to activate the app to unlock all content. NewsNet is a new 24/7 national news network that "focus on the headlines, not talk and opinion." SplashTiles seems like an interesting new app that lets you create a screen full of customizable widgets that are arranged and displayed on your Fire TV device. The views are set up remotely on splash-tiles.com and then deployed to your Fire TV device(s). Continue on for the full list of new apps and games released in the last 7 days.
