Amazon and CBS have just announced a new multi-year, multi-series content deal that will bring three new CBS series set to premiere next summer to Amazon Prime. This deal is identical to the existing arrangement Amazon has with CBS that makes new episodes of Under the Dome and Extant available through Prime Video just 4 days after they air on CBS. The first of the three new shows coming to Prime Video is BrainDead, a comic thriller starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead from Robert and Michelle King, producers of The Good Wife. BrainDead is set in the world of D.C. politics and follows a young fresh-faced Hill staffer (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) getting her first job in Washington, D.C. and discovering two things: the government has stopped working, and alien spawn have come to Earth and eaten the brains of a growing number of congressmen and Hill staffers. The other two series included in this deal have not been announced.

This deal will also expand the number of CBS and SHOWTIME titles available through Prime Video. Some of the additional Prime shows that are part of this deal include Medium, The Tudors, The L Word, the original Twin Peaks series, America’s Next Top Model, I Love Lucy, Penn & Teller, The Amazing Race, MacGyver, Brotherhood and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Several CBS movies will also be available to Prime members including Inside Llewyn Davis and Pride.
