New Apps for the Week of September 13th thru the 19th


Partially due to the release of the new Fire TV, it has been a strange week for new Fire TV apps. There were 16 new regular apps and games released for the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick this week. Most notable among them were several great games. First is Shovel Knight, which is a highly reviewed retro inspired side-scrolling game. Next is Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI, two of the best role-playing games ever created. In addition to the 16 regular apps and games released, there were 272 tablet games released for the Fire TV. These are games made for tablets that you can play on the Fire TV by using a game controller joystick to move a cursor around the screen. Lasty, the YouTube network Fullscreen is continuing their barrage of apps. They've added another 351 apps this week featuring YouTube channels within their network, bring their total app count to a ridiculous 1,359 apps.
