New Apps for the Week of October 18th thru the 24th

This week there were 25 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. Space Epic Untitled is an interesting new space shooting game that will allow friends to play along using smartphones or tablets to control guns and perform ship repairs. The first of 6 episodes is currently available for free. German Fire TV owners received a couple interesting entertainment apps with the addition of an official TLC app and DMAX app. A revamped WeatherNation app was also released this week with a 24-hour live streamed weather service.    Once again, a sad collection of apps. The TLC app is not our US TV channel app.

   Amazon needs to push the channel providers to upgrade their apps to take advantage of FireTV screen real estate. Case in point – compare the A&E app on Apple TV and on AFTV2. The Apple TV version is s-o-o much superior. The AFTV2 version looks like a enlarged version of the smartphone app.

   It’s likely that Apple holds the developers feet to the fire to force them to take the effort to meet Apple’s UI standard … while in the Android world, you are just glad that someone is willing to write an app for your device.

   Amazon needs to put some effort into marketing their device to big companies out there.

   Yeah, you’re right.
   Amazon should listen to your genius advice rather than doing their own way.And..developer should follow your advice and package the apk which can install on all devices.

     Give a little discount on newly launched K400 plus keyboard for AFTV owners ;-)

     Yeah!!!

     P.S Bad reviews on K400 plus – if you’re eyeing old model K400 you’re out of luck , no more selling old K400 by Amazon. ( I just checked ).
