Shudder is a streaming service for horror movie fans that has been available as an Amazon Channel for a while and has now released a dedicated app. Most of the app's content requires a subscription, which costs $4.99 per month or $3.99 a month if you pay annually, but there is some free content to enjoy in the new app. Sundance Now is another new streaming service app to arrive on the Fire TV this week. It's subscription runs $6.99 a month, or $59.99 if paid annually, and it offers independent film, TV shows, documentaries, and original series.
