This week there were 32 new apps and games released for the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. The most notable app by far is the new CBS Sports app released just in time to stream Super Bowl 50 to Fire TV owners. There's also a new fashion video network called Made to Measure (M2M) that released a Fire TV app this week. The most interesting game released this past week is Rummikub which is a family friendly game that's a cross between Rummy and Mahjong. Rounding out the week is File Manager for Fire TV which is a new file explorer that was designed specifically for the Fire TV. Many of my Gen 1 FTV Apps have become non-functional within the last couple days: WatchABC, WatchFoodnetwork, WatchHGTV all dead , no video or audio but I can access the menus. WatchDisneyXD, WatchDisney have audio but no video. Wifi and HDMI connection are perfect, KODI plays excellent audio/video over wifi so the problem must be within those apps. I have not been updated to OS5 yet. Has anyone experienced similar problems? Contacting Amazon support is unfortunately a futile effort.
