New Apps for the Week of December 20th thru the 26th

Just as I post every Sunday, here's the list of new apps and games released for the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick during the last 7 days week. This week there were 37 new apps and games released. The list isn't as impressive as last week, but there are a few notable apps in the bunch.

Time Magazine released a Southern Living video app with recipes, DIY projects, and more. With the release of fuboTV Live, the Fire TV gains live soccer matches through the new service. UK residents can now stream Channel 4 content through the new All 4 app and German residents get a cloud DVR service with the new SaveTV app.

As for games, this week brought the release of Read Only Memories, a puzzle-solving and exploring adventure game with over 10 hours of dialogue from BAFTA-nominated voice actors. Also released this week are a couple new poker games, Jackpot Poker by PokerStars and Deal With It! - Poker Squares, as well as Text Twist, a word puzzle game. Read on for the full list of 37 new apps and games.

  1. Joe says:

Both “Channel 4” and “Save Tv” not available for US users….

“You are not eligible to purchase this app due to geographical restrictions.”

  2. The Shrike says:

I like you you put a junk section! So true

  3. Y314K says:

Great idea to add a Junk section. What a great way to start it with “OUCH, MY BALLS!”.

  4. Jeff_C says:

I am in the UK but the All4 app shows as not compatible with the Fire TV or TV stick. Will it work if I sideload it, or am I missing something?

    • Alistair says:

It says it works with the “Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote” and the new Fire TV. The only difference between new Fire TV Sticks and old ones is the OS version, so it’s likely that the All 4 app will start working when the older devices get the Fire OS 5 update in the new year.

  5. T says:

All the amazon webshop is a big shit, i have 2 account, i can not sign in one of these. ( i know the password right)
i canot search anything in my fire tv too, it is a joke (after the apple app store), and bette if we do not talk the quality of the amazon apps.
