I don’t run many apps that need mouse control, and for that I can use my remote mouse app from my iPhone. Right now I don’t have much need to enter text on my Fire TV, and if I’m searching for content inside of Netflix, the search result I’m looking for is usually there after I enter a couple characters. Aside from installing pre-rooted roms, I’m not sure what I’d use a keyboard for.
What are other people using it for? And how often?
I try to use the keyboard for as much navigating I can to save the batteries of the firetv remote, as the firetv remote seems to drain batteries faster. atleast to me they seem to..Also browse the web on chrome browser with keyboard and mouse. and sometimes play mame and other games with a kb.
This keyboard would be good for other devices that accept usb adapter.
So it would be a great buy on sale.
I also do have it but the quality is quite poor. It really looks and feels “cheap”.
Just a hint for the people who are interested to buy a German Layout keyboard. Currently with the latest Fire OS 5.0.5.1 keyboard/input language on the FireTV itself cannot be changed to German.

I can’t get my K400 to work with my firetv 2?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have all the Developer options already set to ON. That was the first thing I looked at. Any more ideas? I am stuck on this step and don’t want Amazon to force update before I Flash Rom.
