The Logitech K400 Plus keyboard with built-in touchpad is on sale for $17.99 at Amazon and Best Buy. That matches the lowest price this keyboard has ever been. Many Fire TV owners, including myself, swear by this keyboard as the best bang-for-your-buck keyboard for couch use. This keyboard uses a wireless USB dongle to connect, so it works with the 1st and 2nd-gen Fire TV. It will also work with the Fire TV Stick 2 if you use an OTG adapter.
I bought this to replace a Microsoft setup that had terrible range. I was excited to get it in the mail, and it also gets terrible range.
Intel NUC with the USB dongle on the front, sitting on top of an AV receiver, behind a glass window, under a center channel speaker.
Thoughts?
Connect it to your computer and unpair and re-pair the device. Maybe it will choose a new/better/less interenced channel to use?
any way to get the trackpad working on firetv?
The trackpad should work automatically within apps, but the mouse cursor is hidden in the Fire TV interface.
Also, be aware that the trackpad is a mouse pointer. It’s up to the app developer to support that.
