The Logitech K400 Plus keyboard with built-in touchpad is on sale for $17.99 at Amazon. That matches the lowest price this keyboard has ever been. Many Fire TV owners, including myself, swear by this keyboard as the best bang-for-your-buck keyboard for couch use. This is not a Bluetooth keyboard and instead uses a wireless USB dongle to connect. That means it will work with the Fire TV 1 and 2 out of the box but needs an OTG cable to work with the Fire TV 3 and Fire TV Stick 2. This sale is part of a larger sale where multiple Logitech accessories are up to 30% off.
I’ve bought three of these in the last year. Each one has broken. Caveat emptor.
Does anybody else get horrible range with these? I’ve tried 3 different keyboard and all 3 I have to stand within 5 feet of the computer. My computer sits directly next to the AV receiver, which is a few inches underneath a plasma TV.
I assume a USB extension cord would help to get the USB receiver a bit away from the interference that something seems to be causing?
I have about 12 of these at my school. They work fine in the classrooms from 10-15 ft away.
