Good offer, I brought this two years ago for $112 because I can control my hue lights as well. I was planing to buy other for my room but not willing to pay that price, as soon I saw your article grap one.
It is nice how versatile it is. I mostly stopped using mine for the TV ever since switching to the Fire TV Cube, but it still gets a lot of use to control smart home devices.
Same here. I have a FireTV Cube accompanied by sidekick remote, connected to TV and TV sound going out to amplifier/speakers. The Family Home theater is now family friendly and wife approved. The harmony remote has been in a box collecting dust. Three new recent big game changers for me are the
1. FireTV Cube and its ability to control TV and audio device
2. sidekick remote so I can now use one remote to control volume and firetv
3. HD Homerun tuner with CHANNELS APP.
With these three things, I no longer need to keep multiple remotes out. no more switching inputs.
I have the Fire Tv pendant in my bedroom and my wife don’t justify buy one more Fire TV. In total I have 5 and one Nvidia Shield Tv. Maybe for cyber Monday I can convince her as a give for me during the holidays.
It’s good to know that Fire TV cube works well to control Tv and Home theater receivers.
Well no, it does not work well to control your tv, if you use the antenna input, the cube will not change the channels. If you have a smart tv and use the apps that come with it, the Cube will not open/play/stop any of them, something that the Harmony or Broadlink options do easily.
The phone app is not working, see the email from Logitech support.

We confirmed that we do have known issue regarding the Harmony App using Android devices. We’ll be releasing an update soon. Admittedly, I’m unable to provide a timeline for this.
While waiting for an update and if the issue exist, we request to go back to your Chrome default settings. Please be advise that this will delete your temporary information such as browsing history and cookies. You can still restore information such as Bookmarks by logging back into Chrome.
To go back to their Chrome default settings:
From Android – go to Settings > Apps > Chrome
Tap on Menu and select “Uninstall updates”

Would like to hear more details about this. I have Android tablets that I’ve been using as dedicated remotes for a while with no issues. Or is there a surprise waiting for me when i get home from work?
The hub works fine. It only impacts if you wish to edit activity or device. It can not connect to the harmony servers, it will time out with the message server are not available.
Have you tried using the desktop app?
Desktop works fine
As Tech3475 says, the desktop app works, which is a temporary workaround for the issue. You can still sync your remote using the Android app, which will download your changes from the Harmony servers, which then upload to your remote.
It’s a bit strange that the app can connect during the update step, as well as control your devices through the cloud, yet can’t connect to the servers to edit your devices or activities…
This is the old version. New version is $100+. Not sure if it is worthy to buy this even the price is low?
I still love my Harmony smart remote and Hub. I use it daily with my 2015 Nvidia Shield TV, Onkyo receiver and Firetv pendant. I tell Alexa to turn on the Shield and everything turns on. The remote / hub can do Bluetooth devices and is not line of sight too. My wife loves the setup.
if i were starting from scratch, I’d get a version of the Hub with a back-lit remote and a help screen. I’ve got two of these, using both with dedicated Fire 7 tablets as remotes. Incredibly flexible, but not nearly as family-friendly as even their much older 650 (which does require a Flirc to work with AFTV).
Without the remote having a mic, these are becoming redundant. I love my Harmony Hub and Remote, but it really needs a mic so i can use voice control. I end up picking up my Shield remote to use the voice control and then don’t pick up the Harmony remote again until i need to turn everything off. Kind of defeats the object of a ‘All in One’ Remote.
