Amazon has just put the 4th-gen Echo Dot on sale for $27.99. At 44% off the retail price of $49.99, this is the second lowest price that it has ever been. The only time it has ever been cheaper was Prime Day last year when it was $3 less. This current sale even beats out the Black Friday price, which was $2 more, so if you’ve been waiting for a good price to pick one up, now is definitely the time. It’s available at this price in Charcoal (black), Glacier (white), and Twilight (blue). Alternatively, you can get the Echo Dot w/ Clock for $39.99, which is just $5 more than the lowest price it has ever been. If you have a 1st or 2nd-gen Echo Dot, this latest model sounds significantly better and is worth the upgrade, especially if you use your Echo Dot for music. Compared to the 3rd-gen Echo Dot, the newer model sounds slightly better, mostly due to the speaker pointing slightly forward instead of straight up, but not different enough to upgrade for sound quality alone.
A new start page arrived on my german model Fire TV Smart TV yesterday. The buttons Search, Home and Live have been replaced with Symbols and been added with an all new 4th symbol button My Contents. Also the page content of Search has changed and is completly new designed. Under the all new page My Contents now your Watch List and your Purchases are listed, so you now can acces them directly from the main page. This all just came by switching the Smart TV off and on, without a restart and without any software update. I’m wondering now, why there’s no mention of this here? A sorry for my typos, writing this with my Fire TV remote via Silk. :(
Elias has already done a post on the new Fire TV home page graphics…
JFC, that’s funny. He posted the article just when I was writing my comment. :)
Elias, like the new graphic format of your various email updates… Looks a lot spiffier than the prior, original version. The new version is real easy on the eyes…. Cheers!
