A quick reminder that today is the last day to take advantage of Amazon’s promotion where you earn Free Amazon Coins with select Grocery items. There are over 300 different items eligible which will earn you 300 coins for each item ordered. There are even some qualifying items that costs less than $3.00, making them essentially free when you factor in the value of the coins earned. I placed an order and have already received my free coins without any issues. You can order multiples of the same item and still earn 300 coins for each one.

Do you still get the coins if you do Subscribe & Save to get an extra 15% discount + Free Shipping ?? Earlier today I placed 6 Subscribe & Save orders for 2 items each to try to earn 3600 coins.. But they all seem to be schedule to arrive by Feb. 2nd. Would suck if the Sub & Save orders don’t count…
I am guessing the coins get allocated until the orders get charge when they are shipped…
Well, changed the deliver by date to the closes date possible which was Jan. 9th to speed things up…
So I ordered about ten items from the list on 12/31, and I have yet to see any coins added to my account. How long does it usually take? Did they send you an email about the free coins at some point?
Looks like they change the rules or their system messed up… I ordered on 12-31-14 too… I posed this at SD…
My orders are out for delivery today.. But I still don’t have any coins… Guess I’ll have to chat with them…

Update: Well I did an online chat with about 3 departments & about 4 reps.. And since the system did not auto give me the coins they are now saying the items might not be eligible… At least two of the items where the same as ordered here.. The cookies & Pita snacks… So they are wrong.. I even had a screen capture of the deal banner but they couldn’t do anything about it.. I ask to be transfer where they can cancel orders & after the cancellation department read thru the whole back and forth (cordial on both ends) they decided to cancel the orders for a full refund but I get to keep the snacks… No coins but free snacks.. Not a bad resolution. Next time I will make sure I order early for coin deals instead of waiting to the last day of the deal…

If anybody’s order has shipped but have not received their coins.. I would contact Amazon sooner rather then later.. Amazon needs to list the coins deal on the receipt of each order to stop this problem from repeating… This reminds me of the Rebates folks that won’t owner Rebates.. But at least I got an ok resolution…

So I chatted with customer support like you did, and they also didn’t know what I was talking about. However, instead of refunding my money they App Store rep just credited my account for the 3000 coins I was owed.
There’s a lack of communication going on there for sure, but at least they are making it right.
