IMDb’s What to Watch app on Fire TV adds new ‘Time Machine’ suggestions

A few months ago, the IMDb What to Watch app launched exclusively on Fire TV devices to help you figure out what to watch through various mini-games and prompts. The idea behind the app is to make figuring out what to watch less of a chore so you spend more time actually watching something than you spend scrolling through endless rows of thunbnails. The app has now added a new “Time Machine” mode, as spotted by TechCrunch. The new feature suggests up to six titles to watch by either year or decade. You can also apply filters, like award-winning titles, top box office, movie genres, or specific actors, to narrow down the suggestions to better fit your preferences. TechCrunch reports that there is also an upcoming “Build-a-Cast” game that, from the sound of it, will let you find content staring a specific set of actors and actresses.
