A fully-featured TikTok app has been released that is compatible with Amazon Fire TV devices and Android TV devices. The app can only be installed on select device models and in select countries. If you don’t have one of the officially compatible devices or don’t live in a country where it is available, you can easily sideload it on any Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Edition, Shield TV, Android TV, or Google TV devices with these instructions.
- Install the Downloader app, available from the Amazon Appstore for Fire TV devices and the Google Play Store for Android TV devices.
- Enable Apps from Unknown Sources. On Fire TV, this is done by navigating to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options. On Android TV, it’s done by navigating to Settings > Security & Restrictions > Unknown sources.
- Launch Downloader and enter
2133 (or aftv.news/2133) into the URL field. If this is your first time using Downloader, it may help to follow this more detailed sideloading guide.
- The app will download and prompt you to install it automatically. Select install and once the app is installed, you’ll find it at the end of your apps list. You can get to the app grid page on a Fire TV by holding down the Home button for a few seconds and then selecting “Apps.”

I tried sideloading the “official” APK 2 days ago, the app installed fine, works with just the remote optimized for tv etc. BUT (and it’s a big one) when I attempted to login it told me not available in my country: USA
All I could do was view the popular posts on the main page essentially making it useless, for now.

Does it work with VPN from USA?
I tried using a VPN… set it to UK and tried Germany. It says TikTok TV is available in those regions and it still did not work for me.
Has anyone ever had any luck with figuring out how to get your own personal login info and how to watch the same types of content that you can get on your phone? I’m not sure if just saying “regular” tiktok but the app for firestick and the app on my smartphone. If anyone has been successful with this app please explain how you were able to get it to work thank you
