As part of their Fathers Day Sale, Amazon has just put the Amazon Echo on sale for $79.99. This is a great price because it matches the lowest price the Echo has ever been. An even better is the Echo + Echo Dot bundle for $99.98. This is the first time that this bundle has ever been this low. Essentially, you’re buying the Echo at regular price and getting an Echo Dot thrown in for free. Or you can think of it as getting an Echo at its all-time lowest price and getting an Echo Dot for just $20. No matter how you see it, it’s a killer deal and the best that has ever been offered. If you’re not interested in the full-sized Echo, you can still get a pair of Echo Dots for $59.98 by just adding two to your cart at the discounted $39.99 price and getting $20 off automatically at checkout.
Tempted by the Echo + Dot offer but we’re so close to Prime Day that I’m hesitating. Elias, do you think we may see a better deal a month from now or should we jump on this?
Tough to say. Normally I’d say if it’s a new low price, like this is, then you should jump on it, but we’re pretty close to Prime Day and that’s the day to most likely have matching or new all time low prices. The big question is if they’ll give an extra discount for the bundle on Prime Day or if they’ll stick to just individual sale prices. If it’s individual only, then I don’t think you’ll beat this price because that would mean the Echo would be $74.99 and the Dot would be $24.99, which would both be new all time low prices for each. I can see the Dot possibly going that low at most, since it’s an older device, but the Echo is less than a year old still, so it might stick to $79.99.
My advice: If you were definitely planning to buy both the Echo and Dot and have been waiting for a good sale, then jump on this. If you wanted one or the other, but are considering this bundle just because the price is so good, then wait for Prime Day.
Thanks. I’ve been toying with getting another Echo but had thought about jumping on this deal to also get the Dot for $20 to give as a gift. Guess I’ll wait for Prime Day!
