Get a Fire TV Stick Lite and 1-month Discovery+ subscription for just $4.98

Discovery+ is currently running a fantastic promotion that gives you a Fire TV Stick Lite for free when you pay for just 1 month of service. At just $4.98 per month for the least expensive Discovery+ plan, there is no cheaper way to get a Fire TV Stick Lite. This promotion is for the latest Fire TV Stick that was released in 2020 which normally costs $29.99 but is currently on sale for $19.99. The lowest price the Fire TV Stick Lite has ever been is $17.99, so even if you don’t care about the 1-month Discovery+ access, you’re still getting an unbeatable deal on the Fire TV Stick Lite at only $4.98.

To take advantage of the offer, follow these steps exactly:

  1. Go to https://auth.discoveryplus.com/redeem
  2. Enter promocode FIRETV2 for the $4.98 ad-supported subscription or enter promocode FIRETV1 for the $6.98 ad-free subscription. (Both will earn you a free Fire TV Stick Lite.)
  3. Click continue and complete your account creation with a credit card or a PayPal account. Within a few minutes you’ll receive a welcome email and then a second email with a redemption code for your Fire TV Stick Lite.
  4. Visit this Amazon link, add the Fire TV Stick Lite to your cart, and then enter the redemption code from the email during checkout.
  5. If you’d like, you can now cancel your Discovery+ subscription by visiting this page and clicking “Cancel” in the lower left. Canceling immediately will still allow you to receive your free Fire TV Stick Lite and will still allow you to watch Discovery+ for 1-month. You will still be charged $4.98 or $6.98, depending on which promocode you entered in step 2, but you’re subscription will not renew after the first month.

This offer ends on 4/20/2021 or until 50,000 Fire TV Stick Lites have been given away, so act fast. Once you sign up, you have until 5/20/2021 to redeem the Fire TV Stick Lite redemption code that is emailed to you. This offer is only for new Discovery+ subscribers.

Ooh, nice find. Also, if you’ve got a Chase card, check your offers. I had 20% cashback Discovery+ purchases, so an extra dollar off!

    • Elias J. says:

Thanks for the reminder. The discount (“when you spend $4.99 or more”) is only good for the ad-free version if you only want the one month to get the Fire stick.

I bit before I realized the remote does not have volume control. I was looking for a cheap upgrade on an old remote.

    • This might be of no use to you, but for others, note that the Fire TV Stick Lite can be paired with the remote from a 2nd-gen Fire TV Stick that has TV power/volume buttons, so you can upgrade without losing that functionality.

    • AuburnJohn says:

Appreciate this comment. I was about to do the same just for the remote.

  3. Rik Emmett says:

At this price, every non 4K amazon streaming device should be replaced. But with the new interface, don’t know if I will.

  4. Jack says:

You are on a roll, my friend.

  5. Jeck says:

Just an FYI – The redemption code doesn’t come in the welcome email. It’ll come in a separate email from Discovery+. Support said it should arrive within 15 minutes of signing up though.

  6. Jack says:

I can verify the second email with the coupon code takes 10-15 minutes to receive, so be patient.

  7. BobR says:

Thanks again! Perfect for the kids’ 1080p projector. My Discovery emails came about 10 minutes apart.

  8. Nicole says:

The codes aren’t working for me. I tried them both, says they’re invalid.

  9. Russ says:

I’m in for the deal but I’ve started watching and I’m not sure there’s much there that I’m not getting with youtube tv.

I mentioned yesterday, maybe others gave Elias a heads up also (I sent ya an email Elias) https://www.aftvnews.com/fire-tv-stick-lite-is-on-sale-for-19-99-best-price-outside-of-prime-day-black-friday/#comment-986732

Once it hit SD I feared it might be gone soon, amazed it is still going.

    • I did see the comment last night and then your email this morning (which I just saw your reply to me) but I didn’t get a chance to post about it until now. I am surprised it’s still available, considering SD has since hopped on it, but maybe most people want to hold out for the better remote.

  11. Elias J. says:

Thanks Elias. I didn’t think I wanted another Fire TV device until I saw your post. BTW, the redemption came 4 minutes after the Welcome email.

  12. RedPenguin says:

Thanks man! I actually nabbed 2 Lites when they were $17.99 at Best Buy and funny enough Best Buy was giving me $5 & $10 Rewards Certificates from Black Friday-New Years 2020-2021.

I ended up paying like $4 and $12 now $5.28 (PA state tax included) for 3 Lites.

Just stopping in to say the new FTV GUI sucks. Continue Watching 7 rows down!?!? Fix this Amazon.

  14. cdlenfert says:

Just used the code 20 minutes ago and no issues on the purchasing site for Discovery+. However it’s been 20 minutes and I don’t have the code for the free Fire TV Stick. Hopefully it’s just a delay and not a bug on the tail end of the offer.

    • cdlenfert says:

Update: I got on Discovery+ chat support and they escalated my issue. My free FTV Stick code came 1 minute after that and worked to get a freebie.

  15. Red says:

Apparently some people are reporting 20+ hr. delays. Varying reports of success / reasons reported when contacting Discovery+ chat support. I’d give it a day and meanwhile check your Discovery+ acct., you should see your plan reflecting the promo. code – “FIRETV2: discovery+ (Ad-Lite)”. If so you *should* be good to go – eventually.

  16. Alonna says:

Code is still working as of 4/15 at 8:53AM EST

  17. oasis_001 says:

FYI. The commercial-free version ($6.99/month) of Discovery+ is now available as a Prime Video Channel subscription. Ad supported version is expected in the coming months.

  18. CML says:

I had to email/contact support and few minutes later the code came and worked.

  19. RL says:

    The promotion still working.

    Thanks for the info Elias!!!

  20. B says:

Promotion still working. Email with redemption code 10 min after ordering.

  21. Y2Bogus says:

Still working. Only works once per Amazon account, FYI.

  22. Mackman says:

The email says they don’t charge for standard shipping, but I changed to free shipping which is not the same as standard shipping.Standard shipping is a charged or it’s not.

    • RedPenguin says:

      I know it was confusing.

When I first went to order, it said still pay $7, and I was like what? Thought was a free stick.

Then I realized Amazon by default didn’t pick Free Shipping but a sooner shipping. After I fixed that, $0.00.

  23. Mark Connelly says:

Yuppers! Got mine in the mail today!

  24. Jim says:

So as of 4/17 6pm California is this still available?

  25. Kev says:

    Neat it worked. Thanks!!!
Now I have another fire tv that will sit in the closet

  26. Y2Bogus says:

    …..and it’s gone! Ah well.

  27. Mackman says:

    Is the deal still good

  28. Rik Emmett says:

Ordered the 3rd gen lite stick yesterday through this promotion. Will be using the first gen remote with it anyway.
