Amazon and DIRECTV STREAM have teamed up to offer new customers a $50 Amazon gift card if you sign up for the streaming TV service through a Fire TV device. If you sign up for the least expensive 75+ channel plan for $74.99, you’ll, essentially, be getting the first month for $24.99. The service offers a 5-day free trial, but you have to keep your subscription active for a full month to get the $50 gift card. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of the promotion in the DIRECTV app for Fire TV, so you’re going to just have to trust that your gift card arrives in your email at some point. Amazon’s official Fire TV blog does mention the promotion here, so you can, at least, direct Amazon customer service to that if you don’t get the gift card. This offer is available thru August 20th.
