Starting today and continuing through 11:59 p.m. on Prime Day July 12, you will receive $10 off your first order of $20 or more when making a purchase using Alexa. Simply say “Alexa, order [item name]” and the $10 discount will be automatically applied to your order. The promotion only mentions this being for orders through the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, and Amazon Tap, but I’ve been able to see the promotion on Alexa orders through the Fire TV as well. Although, it’s very inconsistent through the Fire TV. Some orders through the Fire TV will show the discount, while others just a few seconds later will not. If you’re having trouble getting the discount to appear or trouble finding the exact item you want to order, try asking Alexa to order an item, but don’t complete the purchase through Alexa. Instead, open the Alexa app or Alexa web portal and add the item to your cart from there. If Alexa or the Alexa app adds an item to your cart, the $10 discount will still appear at checkout when completing the order through Amazon’s website.
