Amazon is currently making the first episode of their new original series Hanna available to stream by Prime members for the next 24-hours. This series will not premiere in its entirety until March, but you can catch the first episode now for a short time. Amazon spent big bucks to run a Super Bowl ad for Hanna, so it seems like they think the series will be a hit. Last year, Amazon promoted their original series Jack Ryan during the Super Bowl, which has since been very well received by both fans and critics. Amazon describes Hanna as “equal parts high-concept thriller and coming-of-age drama.” The show “follows the journey of an extraordinary young girl raised in the forest, as she evades the relentless pursuit of an off-book CIA agent and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is.”
Well if it’s anything like the movie, it should be pretty good.
The trailer was very interesting, made me want to watch the pilot.
The pilot was so so. Good enough for me to want to watch another episode but not great.
watched it… it was pretty good.. r
We watched it last night. Meh. Too slow. There was more action in the Super Bowl.
Jack Ryan was crap. Like a cheesy Fox show with poor acting and terrible scripts.
The movie it is based on was one of the best little known movies I have seen. A great revenge flic. I can’t see it working as a series, unless it’s just one season. TV “seasons” are so short now, at 6-13 episodes for most, with the wait so long for the next season, it’s just so much harder to remember for that long. And with a story that needs to maintain a certain degree of tension throughout….well, we’ll have to see how they handle it.
