Amazon has announced that it will begin manufacturing Fire TV Sticks in India. This will be the first Amazon device to ever be made in India. Fire TV Sticks will be made by Foxconn subsidiary Cloud Network Technology in Chennai, India. Amazon says that it will “be able to produce hundreds of thousands of Fire TV Stick devices every year.” Considering Amazon sells “millions of Fire TV devices” globally on Prime Day alone, it seems as though the “hundreds of thousands” of Fire TV Sticks made in India will be sold in India, while the rest of the world’s Fire TV Sticks will still be made in China.
Amazon first launched the Fire TV Stick in India in April 2017. The more expensive Fire TV and Fire TV Cube have never been offered in India, but Amazon has been selling Fire TV Edition televisions in India since December 2019. Last month, Amazon chose India as the location to launch its first Amazon-branded Fire TV Edition televisions using its AmazonBasics house brand.
Elias,
How do we know if the Chinese manufactured sticks have not had a small chip added to them? That one small chip that was added to circuit board for the video processor device a few years back was practically undetectable:

With China we never know. Nothing from china is the rule.
great news, now we can look forward to more workers losing their jobs.
Why not make them in America?
Oh please.
LOL yeah right ,they are too cheap to even pay Chinese wages
that is why they are moving to india like Apple
i think Apple now pays them like $7 per month
