Amazon’s new Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote bundle has finally started arriving at customers doorsteps. This new bundle, consisting of the existing Fire TV Stick and the new wifi-based voice remote, was announced alongside the 2nd-gen Fire TV. It was initially scheduled to arrive on October 22nd, but was postponed due to the bugs surrounding Fire OS 5. Thankfully Amazon has worked out the vast majority of the issues with Fire OS 5 and have not needed to delay this new Fire TV Stick bundle any longer. This is great news for existing 1st-gen Fire TV and Fire TV Stick owners because it likely means the update to Fire OS 5 with Alexa is just around the corner. My Fire TV Stick voice remote bundle will be arriving later today, so check back for a comparison between this new bundle and the existing hardware to learn if the included remote is the same as the one included with the 2nd-gen Fire TV or not, and if the Fire TV Stick has changed at all.
